Exploration Domination

Today- we started out with a Bell Ringer regarding the notes from yesterday which served as a great review for the Quiz taken today. Then the real fun began as students were put into groups representing either England, France, or Spain in the race for exploration of North America. Students had to ask a question, if correct then they rolled the dice and moved accroding on our class board from Europe to North America. The 3rd block group of Spain was so close to victory until they landed on an Obstacle Space and drew an Obstacle card which sent them back to the start...giving France the win by default.

Vocab was also handed out today and is due Monday. Words are economics, natural resources, Fransico Coronado, Robert la Salle, Samuel de Champlain, John Cabot, Quebec, and New Foundland.

Tomorrow- notes and lecture on who explorered North America for each of the three countries and where they explored and their stories.
