Have to Start Somewhere

Most of the class was spent go over notes regarding the first major settlements/colonies in what is now the United States. These included Roanoke Island, Jamestown, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. We focused on the reasons for each either economic or religious.

Students then completed a chart of the 6 settlements/colonies and a map exercise. These two activities should serve as excellent prepartation for tomorrow's quiz.

Tomorrow we will be doing a quiz on today's notes, getting vocab words, and doing a mobile lab research project on each of the settlements/colonies.
